You know the urn doesn't draw aggro right? And you only really need that urn at one, maybe two locations in that mission. Add to that the fact that there is tons of AoE in that mission, not to mention the ceiling falling constantly. Basically, any character playing normally will take enough damage to put it up to lvl5, very quickly.

So you can choose one of two options: have the urn on your tank, he does no damage, and you get unnecessary protection when you really don't need it...or give it to the rit, it powers his urn spells, your warrior gets to do his damage, and you'll still have the protection available when you actually need it.

If you're really afraid of a party wipe you can choose the first method, but the point is that that's not the best approach.

Here's some advice from someone who has accidentally sold his fare share of valuable items to the merch. Uncheck your belt pouch and two bags in the merch window and you will never have to worry about those accidental lag sells to merch. Just keep all the important stuff out of your backpack!

If your account gets hacked into. Do NOT do what I did in the following:

Let your wife throw out two of your access keys that you needed as proof that you own the account.

Talk to the hacker who has logged into your account in-game and tell them that Plaync is going to get your account back - the hacker will just empty your account faster...

Tell everyone you know in the guild that your account is being invaded by a hacker - WHILE THAT HACKER IS IN THE GUILD READING WHAT YOU SAY...

:S I am so stupid...

Regarding dye, my friend, who introduced me to GW told me right away about dye and I've been hoarding them ever since.

How about going a long way, fighting mob after mob to cap a skill, get to the boss, hit cap sig and see that you already have it. I have since made up elite skills check lists to avoid that.

On a good day in the end of '05 I bought a new key-board. Nice thingy for gaming, with a small desing glitch I found out later.....
As we where fighting our way trough snake dance ('Lets go south!') just for the fun of it (we hate running), a few friends and I came in contact of a rather nasty group of 'red dots'. I was the healer, tried to cancel a healing spell that was to late (He died....yes I'm a bad monk....). In my haste to do so my finger slipped from the escape button....right onto a small, previously un-tried button with a small 'x' on it.
And my computer shuts down. Nice short-cut button.....aargh....
Exit monk, party death, please try again.....;-)

1. Stick heal other and heal party on my hench monks (I just gave them the template for my normal healing build). It took me like 20min to figure out why they were constantly at near-zero energy even though there was hardly any dmg being taken. :P

2. Get a ferry for my lvl 20, PROPHECIES warrior because I forgot that you can't do missions without first finishing the quests leading up to it.

Maybe Nightfall makes me stupid?

mine have to do with money. And i think there is three there are most likely more then these.

1. One of my biggest things that I always do and still continue to do to this day is create a character, get them 1.5k armor and then ignore them for a month which at the end of that periuod i usually end up deleting for more space.

2. When factions came out I decided to rush through the game and in about 3 days I had the game finished. Before the week was over I wanted 15k Luxon warrior armor. I did this so I bought all my Jadeite for 4k each. I ended up spending about 300k worth of gold which I didnt need to because several weeks later jadeite prices dropped dramatically.

3. My last one I couldnt have really known its just plain unlucky. I bought about 60 Obsidian shards at 4.5k and then the very next week the prices dropped to about 2.9k at the trader and they still remain there.

Now that I reflect on all my poor money choices, I could most likely be a millionare right now if I havent done them.

Added: I read one of the other guys posts and I did the same thing. When I went to the statue of Balthazar in ToA (I had just arrived cause me and a friend were exploring and all this new stuff was just so cool!) I saw that we needed to pay 1k to him. I thought we paid 1k to get some special quest. I paid the 1k and entered fow and was astounded thinking how impossible it would be to kill allthese level 28 monsters. Well I died and lost my 1k, which was alot at the time for me. I guess then I never realized id be soloing those guys

Wilheim, I love your monk, I love all bunheads, factions or not, hehe.

Here is my incident:

Deleted my favorite male monk because I thought I wouldn't use him. Unfortunately, forgot to take the 60 k, the Gardock's Staff, and the three sword grips of fortitude (back when they were like 50 k) off him. Luckily, my rich guildie friend who no longer plays gave me 50 k to cover me to make a new one.

I even once tried to make an invinci-lvl3-golem. I loaded him up with all 55hp enchants plus a couple more. Tried to make him tank through Thirsty River. We made it through but he is a very bad tank!! (I sort of suspected that) and he costed way too many skill to be even close to "slightly useful".

But it was fun!

A lot of you guys are saying things like getting scammed by someone who offered gold instead of plat. I've got a story that's kinda the opposite of that.

See, I was on this drok run, the old ones before the ai nerf that had u pay 1.5k at the middle part. So there I was reading a book while waiting for the run to finish when we get to that part. I casually type in 1 into plat, and 5 into gold and clicked submit... It was rather embarassing and people thought I was trying to scam the runner. Now I always check to see I'm paying the right amount...

I've done that a time or 2 and luckily the person I was paying was understanding of my duh moment.

I never said the urn draws aggro, tell me when did I say that? The fact is, when the warrior aggros, he takes enough dmg to charge the urn to level 5 and drop it, so not only tanking everything, but also charging a urn. If your warrior doesn't know how to draw aggro properly then that's his fault.

Anyways, think what you want, I ve done that mission with my henchman while watching all the pugs fail, just proves I know what Im doing, you think what you want ^_^ bye bye.

Selling my treasured sword to merchant whilst half asleep, emptying my bags of all the crap i collected then realising it would cost far more than i had in storage to replace it, furious (10%) wingblade sword req8, health +30.

Tonight I made a stupid mistake.
Finished NF on my monk.
Was chatting with guildmate what to get for the book of secrets.
Was checking the various weapons and for some reason clicked 'Exchange'.

Well, now I have this very cool FIRE staff now.
And:
1. I don't have an Ele
2. I don't like fire ele (though they can be good)

But, I got this nice ele hero I did not accept earlier, so we have a clear winner for the staff.
Now to get me loads of fire ele spells (have a handfull unlocked) to get my newborn fire ele hero on the road.

Lesson:
Be very carefull what you click with Amulet or Book in your inventory....

Once in HA during a bloodspike, I called a spike on Pet- Ghostly Hero.
I didn't do bloodspike for a while after that, since I realized my tab button was broken :S
